It seems apparent that people are mad about Mad Men. The acclaimed show has reinvented the drama genre on TV by captivating a strong following with its sexy and controversial story lines. It has also brought retro fashions to the forefront and is arguably the most influential show out there right now in terms of style.
The late 50s/early 60s styles are best accomplished with ladylike looks for women and demure suiting for men – both with impeccable tailoring. For ladies, the look can be captured by pairing a curve-hugging, calf-length dress or skirt with basic pumps, gloves and a broach.
