Yogi Berra said, when you come to a fork in the road, take it. Well, if you have no clue what to do that is good advice, but no better than “flip a coin”. Now, spiritually we can say there are no mistakes in our choices; that mistakes are to teach us what we do not know, or that we do not want to go that direction after all, but me, I am a bit lazy and like to improve the odds if I can.

Our ‘normal’ social culture, sadly and madly, tells us to resist and even fear change, which leads us to becoming dinosaur people – and we know what happened to them.
Alas, it becomes more and more apparent that our best chance to have a full and fulfilling life is to learn to adapt, and to manage and flow with change elegantly. Remember when Darwin talked about the survival of the fittest, he did not mean the strongest. He was very clear that the fittest were those most able to adapt to change and evolve.
So, which way to go, what choices to make, when change is looming? My own first rule is to make a list of what I would like to do if I had a magic wand, and if nothing, including money, was a limitation. This list often starts with “Live in Bali” or “Travel again”, and I know for many it includes “Leave work.”
My next step is to take each item on my list one at a time, and savor it, taste it, imagine it, feel it as if it has already happened, then check in with the question: Does this excite me and turn me on? Does it make my 
If nothing on your list excites you, make a riskier list.
The thing is: life is a risk, and change will happen… either to you, or by you. Pick one.
