Prepare To “Make The Cut” At Denver Fashion Week’s Model Workshop
For aspiring models hoping to walk one of Colorado’s biggest runways, preparation can make all the difference.
Denver Fashion Week (DFW) is allowing future runway stars to sharpen their skills ahead of the highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2026 Model Auditions with its upcoming DFW Model Workshop on Sunday, July 26, at 1 p.m.

Whether you’re stepping onto a runway for the first time or looking to refine your walk before auditions, the workshop offers hands-on training designed to help participants feel confident, polished and prepared.


Why Attend The DFW Model Workshop?
Many past workshop attendees have earned spots in Denver Fashion Week runway shows and launched modeling careers beyond the DFW stage.
Led by a DFW runway producer, the workshop provides insider knowledge on what casting teams look for during auditions while helping attendees develop the skills needed to stand out in a competitive environment.
The workshop is open to aspiring and experienced models ages 6–65, including participants in DFW’s popular Mommy & Me runway segment, featuring moms and children ages 6–12.

- Runway walking fundamentals
- Posture and body positioning
- Arm and hand placement
- Proper step, stride, turns and pivots
- Posing techniques
- Backstage etiquette
- Industry insights and professional tips
- How to prepare for a successful DFW audition
The workshop is designed to provide practical experience while helping participants build confidence before audition day.

What To Wear
Participants are encouraged to wear fitted, body-hugging clothing so instructors can clearly assess movement, posture, and runway technique.
Recommended attire includes:
- Skinny jeans or leggings
- Fitted tanks or t-shirts
- Heels for women
- Dress shoes for men
