A new kind of creative space opened in Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District. Ember & Stitch—the city’s first leatherworking studio and Branding Bar—blends Western-inspired warmth with modern craftsmanship, inviting guests to create, personalise, and connect.
For founder Tessa Guthrie, Ember & Stitch began long before the studio existed. It started with a love for tactile materials, a deep appreciation for leather goods, and the belief that people connect more deeply with the things they help create.
Inside Ember & Stitch, you’ll find carefully curated leather goods and western-inspired accessories, a vintage-inspired Branding Bar, and a welcoming leather workshop beckoning you to stretch your creativity. But this isn’t just a retail shop — it’s a space to connect.

Planned programming includes First Friday Art Walks, Make & Sip Nights, Couples and Singles events, dog-friendly DIY collar days, BYOB workshops, corporate branding events, bridal and bachelorette experiences, and themed community nights.
Workshops are beginner-friendly, accessible, and designed to spark creativity in everyone — even those who have never touched leather before. Ranging from one to two hours, one can make a cardholder, a journal or a leather tote without even knowing how to sew.

The Branding Bar — A First-of-Its-Kind Concept in Denver
One of the studio’s standout features is the Branding Bar, a vintage-style counter where guests can emboss or iron-brand their own items. Bring something from home, or choose from Ember & Stitch’s goods to personalise:
The studio’s interior evokes a subtle Western boho aesthetic — not literal cowboy imagery, but warmth, craftsmanship, history, and a sense of timeless design. Vintage furniture, curated artwork, leather textures, and golden tones give the space a gallery-like feel.
