The Lowdown: Enjoy your next patio outing at Homegrown Tap & Dough, where a cozy atmosphere provides memorable experiences during summer nights. We recommend the refreshing sangria or the house Mule. For bites, start with the perfectly cooked braised tomato meatballs to go along with the baked bolognese or the hand-tossed Meat Lovers Pizza. You will be glad you discovered this local Colorado gem.

Rare Bird

The Lowdown: Located inside the Halycon hotel in Cherry Creek, your rooftop oasis awaits. At Rare Bird you will enjoy an elegant experience as the environment matches the Denver vibe. The menu is divided into easily digestible sections based on cuisine interest. For drinks, we enjoyed the refreshing Cactus Wren and Virgin Colada on the Rocks. For a lighter fare, we recommend the delicious beet hummus paired with the mussels and grilled cheese to share. Stay for a few and enjoy the view.

The Lowdown: Resurfacing as a staff favorite, The Patio at Sloan’s is a must-visit for the season. With laid-back vibes, a spacious patio and solid food and drink options, it hits all the necessities. We recommend the Lakeside Frosé or opt for the colorful (and delicious) Purple Haze cocktail. The Lowdown: With a few locations around town, HashTAG’s newest spot in downtown Denver is a must for brunch and rooftop lovers. This playful and modern diner is awesome for catching light bites into the late afternoon. We recommend the NA Bloody or the Maple Espresso for an energetic pick-me-up. For food, try the Colfax’wich for a hearty breakfast sandwich or the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Hot Cake if you have more of a sweet tooth. It is a fun way to enjoy downtown Denver vibes, see you at Hashtag.

Acova

The Lowdown: Tucked away in Denver’s Highlands, Acova is one of the city’s best-kept patio secrets. The scenic patio is a standout for rooftop and patio enthusiasts. While you are there, order The Pink Drink, which is a gorgeous vodka-based cocktail. For dinner, we loved the beef short ribs and the spicy sausage linguini. Acova is a must-visit for patio season this summer.

Del Frisco’s Grill

When: Sunday – Wednesday 11 a.m. – 9:15 p.m., Thursday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The Lowdown: Another favorite – Del Frisco’s Grill – in Cherry Creek is a notable place to indulge in the Colorado sun on a gorgeous rooftop. Start with the Cheesesteak Eggrolls, accompanied by the ahi tacos and Thai pork meatballs for a flavorful spread. For drinks, try the free-spirited Chaos Gardner or the Passion Star Martini, which is an elevated twist on a classic. Make sure Del Frisco’s is on your summer patio and rooftop list.

Fire Restaurant and Lounge

When: Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. – 11 p.m., Sunday 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. 

The Lowdown: Located inside the Art Hotel on Broadway, Fire Restaurant and Lounge is well worth the rooftop hunt. Be sure to book a table in advance because it is popular for a reason. For dinner, try the indulgent butternut vodka pasta or the wagyu brisket burger for something heartier. Order the refreshing Cucumber Cooler or go for the Designated Driver, an awesome NA option. Come see what the hype is all about.

Avanti

The Lowdown: A multi-level Denver favorite, Avanti Food and Beverage truly has something for everyone. Head up early to snag a seat on the rooftop terrace because those views are worth it. Grab a Blackberry NA Mojito or the tasty Dreamsicle from the first floor bar. For food, we love ordering from Quiero Arepas. You cannot go wrong with the Queso Arepa or the Jamón y Queso, both are seriously exceptional. Avanti is a must do for rooftop lounging this summer.
