The theme of this week’s shows? Local! We’ve got some amazing Colorado talent playing all over this week—here’s some of the prime stuff:
The (newly re-minted) Pearl is having quite the local soiree this week! On 8/28 they’ll be hosting For The Love Of Local Music, featuring music from the likes of Keddjra, Shadow Work, May Be Fern, Jade Oracle, Binta Zang and DJ Bugs Honey. They’ll also have some excellent local vendors on hand to sell you the finest of wares. Make sure your thirsty Thursday includes supporting some of Denver’s finest indie artists!
Continuing our local theme for the week, we’ve got longtime Boulder resident Gregory Alan Isakov coming back to Red Rocks yet again for a two night run on 8/31 and 9/1. After playing two shows with the Colorado Symphony earlier this year, these shows will be focusing on Gregory and his incredible songbook. He’ll be joined for these wonderful shows with Leif Vollebekk starting things off for both evenings as well!
Cervantes is hosting a real Denver rager on both sides this Friday, as Joey Porter’s Shady Business taking over the Other Side on 8/29 with The Sonic Souls kicking things off there. The Masterpiece Ballroom will see legendary turntablist Chris Karns rippin’ it up with Lone Drum, Skratch Bastid and Eligh bringing it to the decks as well. This is the spot to be on Friday night!
