Town Pump Provisions arrives in Cherry Creek North with a bold new concept that combines a bodega, scratch-made eatery and Little Man Ice Cream all in one space. Opening August 15, it’s a neighborhood destination designed to surprise, delight and satisfy at every turn. For founder Dana Monfort, it is the realization of a vision years in the making, where warmth and playfulness meet everyday essentials.
“Since I was young, I’ve always known I had this fire inside me to bring a project to life,” Monfort said. “I never knew exactly what it would be, but I knew I needed to make something happen or I was going to explode. And this is it.”
The spark came from Monfort’s own Cherry Creek neighborhood experience. “There was a time I just wanted a place to grab a quick Advil, a snack, something convenient,” she said. “But there wasn’t anything like that here. And every time we traveled to New York, we’d visit bodegas, and I thought, ‘This is exactly what Cherry Creek needs.’” Trips to places like Oakville Grocer in Napa confirmed the vision: a space that combines utility and charm, where someone could pick up chips, a bottle of wine and a sandwich all in one stop.
She partnered with strategic confidants who helped bring the idea to life, and soon the former Crêpes ’n Crêpes building became the perfect location. “I was die-hard about this space,” Monfort said. “It felt homey, community-driven, with three concepts surrounding a patio. It just made sense for everything to flow together.”
The Eatery delivers made-to-order, seed oil-free options with plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free modifications. “I’m a big foodie, and I geek out over these concepts,” Monfort said. Signature items include the Bodega BEC, a New York-style bacon, egg and cheese on a kaiser roll, and the Crispy Loaded Caesar, a mix of romaine, kale, shaved parmesan, cherry tomato, radish, toasted breadcrumbs, all tossed in creamy lemon Caesar dressing. Drinks are equally thoughtful, with Little Owl Coffee using house-made nut milks and syrups, alongside a tonic bar featuring ginger turmeric, peppermint and probiotic lavender lemonade.
The Bodega itself balances the familiar with the unexpected. Fresh local produce sits next to rainbow eggs, house-made sauces, Oreos, Diet Coke and even indulgences like caviar. “We want every walk of life to feel welcome,” Monfort said. “It’s not about being too fancy or intimidating. It’s about a cozy stop that really ties into people’s daily rituals.”
And then there’s the ice cream. Little Man Ice Cream is staking its 11th Denver location inside Town Pump. The team has long been known for playful, inventive flavors like Salted Oreo and Space Junkie, plus seasonal novelties, ice cream pies and the return of their beloved ice cream sandwiches. At Cherry Creek, Little Man will feature 24 flavors, eight more than the original location.
“Our original location is a 28-foot milk can,” said Loren Martinez, Director of Operations at Little Man Ice Cream. “Over the years, we’ve become known for our dairy-free options, our sorbets, our vegan ice creams. People can still enjoy indulgence without compromise and now Cherry Creek can too.”
Founder Paul Tamburello added, “We wanted something that had an iconic roadside feel, tying into Little Man’s signature whimsy. We found an old 1952 delivery truck and reassembled it in the space. It’s a lot of fun, and it fits perfectly with Dana’s vision.”
Monfort sees the three elements – Eatery, Bodega and Little Man – as synergistic. “Picture this: the kids want ice cream, parents grab a salad or sandwich, someone picks up eggs and a bottle of wine,” she said. “It all just flows together, and we want it to feel effortless, welcoming and joyful.”
The space itself reflects that philosophy. “I love cozy vibes,” Monfort said. “I avoided sterile trends. Wood accents, timeless design, approachable for everyone. Even our menus look like something you’d hang on your grandma’s fridge, a vintage New York deli feel.”
Little Man’s team echoed the sentiment. “Dana’s vision really spoke to us,” Martinez said. “The courtyard, the menu, the approachable design, it’s going to be a really fun place to hang out.” Tamburello added, “You come for a cone, but you stay for a show. We have over 400 events across locations every year, including swing dance nights, live music and poetry. Cherry Creek is going to experience that same energy.”
Monfort is also innovating with house-made almond milk, a tonic bar and even cleaner “Slurpee” style frozen drinks. “We’re using products from the Bodega in the Eatery and vice versa,” she said. “It’s all about tying the space together in a way that feels playful, unexpected and genuinely useful.”
Town Pump Provisions is a full-day experience, from coffee in the morning to ice cream in the evening and everything in between. “We want to fill voids throughout the day, to be that pit stop, that moment of joy,” Monfort said.
In a neighborhood where luxury often feels formal, Town Pump Provisions bets on warmth, accessibility and delight. It’s a space where grabbing your essentials doesn’t feel mundane, where a lunch break can be elevated and where the first bite of Little Man Ice Cream might just redefine your whole day. “Even ordinary tasks can feel inspiring if you’re in the right place,” Monfort said. “And we hope Town Pump is that place.”
Town Pump Provisions opens on August 15 and is located at 2810 E 3rd Ave., Denver. Its hours are Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday – Sunday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
