LCD Soundsystem

James Murphy, the co-founder of DFA Records, formed the dance-punk revival band LCD Soundsystem in 2002. As the band returns to Red Rocks this year with TV On The Radio as opener, get ready to “Dance Yourself Clean.”

Ty Myers

Ty Myers is a singer-songwriter-guitarist playing at The Mission Ballroom for The Select Tour, following the release of his debut album The Select. He will be joined by Palmer Anthony.

Mt. Joy

When: Aug. 15, 7 p.m. Where:  Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, 6350 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., Greenwood Village, CO Cost: $75+ The Lowdown: 

The five-piece indie rock band Mt. Joy released Hope We Have Fun in May of this year. The band is based in Los Angeles and includes Matt Quinn, Sam Cooper, Michael Byrnes, Sotiris Eliopoulos and Jackie Miclau. Rock band The Brook & The Bluff will open.

Danny Elfman with the Colorado Symphony

Danny Elfman and the Colorado Symphony will be playing Music from the Films of Tim Burton, including Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice and more. There will be accompanied original film sketches, drawing and storyboards from Tim Burton’s worlds.

Dog Caricatures
