15 Things To Do in Denver This Weekend 7/23 – 7/27

This highly anticipated inaugural event will take place amidst the stunning scenery of Aspen and will feature four distinct runway shows. In addition to the main shows, there will also be various fashion pop-up events happening around Aspen, offering a chance to experience and engage with fashion in different settings.

We are thrilled to announce the Aspen Fashion Week Local Runway Show taking place this August. This event will launch the lineup of runway events and underscore our strong commitment and passion for Aspen’s vibrant local fashion community.

The Aspen Fashion Week Global runway show will showcase a curated selection of top brands from both Aspen and around the globe. Set outside against Aspen’s stunning natural scenery, this inaugural event will gather leading figures in the fashion industry, including designers, influencers and enthusiasts.

The Aspen Fashion Week YOUTH + MOMMY & ME runway show will showcase top brands from both Aspen and around the state.

The Aspen Fashion Week APRÈS runway show will be the grand finale to all of our runway of the week, featuring collections from the finest local brands from Aspen, bringing together key individuals within the fashion world. This particular show will highlight our dedication to and love for Aspen’s unique and energetic APRÈS fashion scene.

Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist Chris Isaak is taking the Paramount Theatre stage. His first album Silverton was released in 1985, and he is still going strong.

AJR is a pop band comrpised of Adam Brett Met (bass), Jack Met (guitar) and Ryan Met (piano). They are in town for their tour, Somewhere in The Sky and will be joined by openers Cavetown, Valley and Madilyn Mei.

For the Yes We Are Tour, the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge will take the iconic Red Rocks stage this Friday. The folk rock duo that is Indigo Girls, which includes Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, have been making music together since 1985.

Michael Todd Gordon goes by stage name Mk.gee. Mk.gee has been making music since his debut single “I Know How You Get” (2017). In February of last year, he released Two Star & The Dream Police, his third album. Black Noise and SEES00000 will open.

Jonah Kagen released his second album The Roads in 2023, EP Black Dress in 2024 and 2025 singles “The Reaper” and “Burn Me,” along with other tracks. The evening will include special guest Chance Emerson.

As Denver Milk Market welcomes Talnua spirits to their shelves, be one of the first to talk about the spirits, participate in tastings and receive swag as a representative from the distillery joins in on the event. Talnua Distillery’s spirits were named “Best Craft Bourbon” in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The Big Eat is presented by and benefiting EatDenver. The event is an annual party that celebrates the independent food and beverage community, with food and drinks from over 70 locally owned restaurants and beverage brands, live music and more.

Join The Bluegrass Lounge in celebrating 10 years of an accomplished dream to create a place people would indulge in great food, cold drinks, memories and conversation. Bright Nights is Denver’s original lantern festival experience. This year, there will be a new Farmhouse Flora and Fauna, a Chinese Dreamland and an expanded interactive zone. This is the perfect atmosphere to walk through on a summer evening.

The Arapahoe County Fair is in town, and there are an abundance of activities to choose from. Over the course of the weekend, just to name a few, there will be: a petting farm, carnival, axe throwing, Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show, Flippenout Trampoline Show, Yucca Braiding, Mutton Bustin’, Polynesian Fire Dancers, Fireworks and Longest Potato Peel Contest.

Come listen to 10 brave readers as they take the stage to share unsent love messages. Unsent Love is intended to be a surprising, cathartic and hilarious night of storytelling. Mischief Pizza’s food truck will be on site with Town Hall Collaborative offering cocktails and mocktails for all.

Over 150 juried artists and craftsmen will flock to Cheesman Park from across the country to showcase their works of various mediums and price-points at the 12th Annual Cheesman Park Art Fest. A lineup of local musicians will perform throughout the weekend and local food trucks will provide guests with all the sustenance they are craving.

The Colorado Craft Walk provides an all-access pass to Colorado’s best wineries, breweries and distilleries at this celebration hosted by Blanchard Family Wines. A ticket will offer samples of Colorado’s top wine, beer and spirit brands, a commemorative tasting glass, the chance to buy full-sized bottles and cans and conversations with the people behind the craft.
