It’s lookin’ to be a hot one in the Denver metro this week, and the gigs on hand are lookin’ to match—here are some of the highlights:
Getting multiple songwriting wunderkinds in the same room is a rare occasion, so make sure your Thursday is free—Donovan Woods is bringing his Things Were Never Good If They’re Not Good Now tour to the Marquis Theater on 6/19, and he’ll have the fabulous Emily James on hand to start the evening off properly. A pairing like this isn’t one to miss out on!
Legendary producers LSDream and CloZee are coming together to bring the Mission Ballroom’s roof down four straight nights in a row this week—from 6/19 to 6/22, they’ll be bringing an otherworldly party to Denver with with Effin, Mocha and Lucid Slip on nights 1 and 3 while Ashez, Lil Fish and Habitaat will get the rager going on nights 2 and 4. With four full evenings to catch, there’s just no excuse to not see this incredible show live.
There’s some real jams hitting Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom this weekend—none other than festival circuit rippers Sqwerv are touching down on 6/20 with the homies in Casey Russell Band as well as DJ Williams Band on deck to party hearty all evening long. If you’re looking to catch some of the freshest jams and best improv the scene has to offer, this will be the spot to check out!
