It’s another week jam-packed with incredible concerts here in Denver! Here are some of the prime shows to see:
Hope you’ve been keeping up with your Duolingo streak for Shpongolese, as it’s about to get weird at the Mission Ballroom this weekend—Shpongle makes a triumphant return to Denver for a two-night run on 4/25 and 4/26. For the first evening, he’ll have Hallucinogen, Spoonbill and Cosmic Trigger setting things off, and 4/26 will see Younger Brother, LTJ Bukem (ft. Armanni Reign), Oviod and Cosmic Trigger ensuring the crowd is all warmed up before everyone gets completely Shpongled. You won’t want to miss this!
Some of the strongest songwriters and storytellers on the scene today, indie-rock outfit Dawes are at the Ogden Theater on 4/23. Touring in support of their fabulous ninth studio album Oh Brother, they’ll be performing songs new and old and they’ve even got Michigander on hand to perform a duo set as well.
The Bar Breaker himself is coming to town this weekend! Prof is hitting Red Rocks for his first headline show in the amphitheater on 4/26, and the crew he has assembled to party with him is unparalleled—he’s got JPEGMAFIA, That Mexican OT, Danny Brown, Norman Sann and DJ Squizzy Taylor on hand to tear up the Rocks all night long. This promises to be one wild show.
