Another beautiful week in Denver, and another incredible set of shows to catch—here are some of the choice cuts:
It’s about to be an unbelievably funky family throwdown at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom on Friday -none other than The Wooten Brothers will be on deck bringin’ the boogie that’ll bring the whole house down with it. Make sure you’re getting to Cervantes’ not a minute after 8pm, as you won’t want to miss the opportunity to join the cult of Nick Gerlach and hear his captivating Cultet getting the party started.
One of Nashville’s finest voices and greatest songwriters, Jason Isbell, is bringing his band, the 400 Unit, to grace several stages in Denver this weekend as part of a huge three-night run. On May 1st and 2nd, Jason and his band will take the stage at the Mission Ballroom for two exclusive shows, featuring songs both old and new. On 5/3, The 400 Unit will bring the Nashville sound to Red Rocks and they’ll have Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway starting the evening off properly.
There’s no frontman wilder than Eric Nally, no show crazier than Foxy Shazam, and no better venue to see them in than Meow Wolf’s Perplexiplex! Touring in support of their brilliant new album Animality Opera, Foxy Shazam is about to blow the doors off of Meow Wolf on 4/30. On deck for the shenanigans will be The Number 12 Looks Like You and Lobbyboxer, and they’ve even brought the Hot Fix Side Show to ensure this is the concert experience of the year.
