We’ve gotten hit with a bit of that cold third-winter weather, but we’ve got some fiery hot shows lined up to keep ya warm — check ’em out:
The monstrous modern jazz collective Ghost-Note has returned to Denver to help us celebrate Denver Jazz Fest on 4/5, and to bring the heat all night long, they’ve got The Headhunters (of Herbie Hancock fame) and Superimposition both on deck for a truly special show. You won’t catch a better group of musicians all in one room, no matter where you go this weekend, so don’t miss this one.
Mersiv is coming to Colorado and seriously showing us all some love this weekend! Starting off with a short journey north to Boulder, Mersiv will be hitting the Boulder Theater with Heyz, SuperAve., Fryar, Venture 5 on 4/3 as a nice little warmup for the ragers ahead. Rolling back down to Denver, Mersiv will be headlining Red Rocks with a massive lineup including with ALLEYCVT, Mr. Carmack, Lumasi, Zen Selekta and Seth David on 4/4, and then the party keeps going at the Gothic Theatre after as Mersiv gets down B2B Seth David with Mr. Carmack and So Sus on as support.
Prolific German producer Ben Böhmer has arrived in Denver once again and is gracing the Mission Ballroom with his new album Bloom on 4/8. Known for his incredibly lush soundscapes and work with dozens of artists both with remixes and collaborations, a celebration of his newest work will be an amazing event. CRi will be on hand as well to ensure the evening will be a great one!
