Another fabulous week on the books here in Denver, and we’ve got some bangin’ shows to check out. Here are them highlights:
Everyone’s gonna get down at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom on 3/22, because Matt Butler has brought the Everyone Orchestra back to town! This iteration’s lineup includes members of Flamingosis, Goose, Sunsquabi, Trey Anastasio Band, and more, and with players like that, you know whatever crazy compositions they conjure up will be wild! RADO starts the night off, so get there early and be prepared to boogie all night long.
Denver’s own titan of trumpet, Eric “Benny” Bloom, is celebrating the release of his incredible debut solo album at Dazzle on 3/21 for what’s sure to be an incredible evening of jazz. Known for his work with Lettuce and dozens of other artists like Pretty Lights, Dave Matthews Band, Wu-Tang Clan and Skrillex, make sure you catch this solo debut! (Rumor has it that the night starts off with a wine tasting from Eric’s own wine company, Benny & Zoid Selections.)
Legendary alternative rockers Anberlin are touring to support the 20th anniversary of their seminal album Never Take Friendship Personal, and they’re coming to Summit Music Hall to celebrate with their friends Copeland and Spitalfield. A show celebrating one of the best alt records to come out of the mid-2000s is guaranteed to be nothing but an amazing time—don’t miss this one!
