Denver Fashion Week Emerging Designer Challenge Fashion Show

When: March 22, 8:30 p.m.
Where: The Jacquard, Autograph Collection in Cherry Creek, 222 Milwaukee St., Denver, CO
Cost: $22.60 – $45+
The Lowdown: This event is an opportunity for aspiring designers to showcase their talent in an elegant and sophisticated environment. Two designers will be selected to present their collections in the upcoming Denver Fashion Week Spring 2025 season (May 10-18). These designers will be chosen by a panel of judges including two Denver Fashion Week lead producers and local designers, as well as those in attendance who can also vote.

The Lowdown: Indie pop band Foster The People takes to The Fillmore this evening. Mark Foster founded the band in 2009 and is joined by keyboardist Isom Innis. Last year, they released their fourth album, Paradise State of Mind. Pop duo Good Neighbours will open.

The Lowdown: Michal Menert is an electronic music producer and the founder of Super Best Records. He is well known for his contributions to Pretty Lights on his debut album and multiple other tracks. Menert tours with a seven-piece band. Come early to catch openers Poldoore, 3420 and Midicinal.

The Lowdown: Originally the Robby Hunter Band, the Magic City Hippies found their identity through their album title, renaming in 2015. The boys are from Miami and “tasked themselves with marrying the funk sweat of a mid-afternoon sail with the syncopated shoulder shimmy of a late night out.” The band consists of Pat Howard, Robby Hunter and John Coughlin.

The Lowdown: Adam Ray is a comedian and actor. In 2019, Ray began parodying “Dr. Phil” McGraw in full-length stand-up comedy routines. He describes his impression as “a late-night version of a daytime guy.” In October of last year, Netflix announced it would air an Adam Ray comedy special that features Ray as his Dr. Phil persona meeting McGraw in person.

Guests can bring home their own hand-crafted three signature Keith Smith Book and will learn how to fold paper, punch signatures and sew a blank book into a leather spine for a mirror Y design by graphic designer, book artist and designer fine bookbinder Brenda Gallagher.
