The rich aroma of leather and spirits fills the air at The Lazy Greyhound. Softly illuminated by a stained-glass piece depicting its namesake, the handsome atmosphere welcomes visitors the moment they step inside.
Owners Jason and Kristin Ungate are no strangers to creating local favorites. As the duo behind The Tabletop Tap in Englewood, they originally set out to find a new home for their beloved taproom. Their search led them to West Main Street in Littleton—a space brimming with potential but surrounded by an already thriving scene of beer gardens, wine and dive bars. Rather than relocate The Tabletop Tap, they saw an opportunity to fill a gap in Downtown Littleton’s scene: a cocktail bar.

In 2021, their vision became a reality with The Lazy Greyhound. “We have a greyhound, there’s a classic cocktail called a Greyhound, so voilà, we phoned it in. Our name is sort of redundant—all greyhounds are actually lazy,” remarks Jason.
The Lazy Greyhound is not your average cocktail bar. Its spirit selection is far from typical but nothing short of extraordinary. “We pull in spirits we think are unique and outstanding,” continues Jason.
Its menu is inspired by old charm and new creations. “Our cocktail menu is split into Old Dogs—classic cocktails like Old Fashioneds and White Russians—and New Tricks—bartender creations made from scratch. That menu changes seasonally, so we’ve always got something new, fresh and quirky,” says Jason.
Unafraid of taking chances, The Lazy Greyhound sets itself apart from your average cocktail bar. “We’ve had cocktails with beets, lychee, tomatillo, carrot, ramp, red bell pepper, charcoal, and more. Our bartenders are creative and innovative and sometimes a bit insane. But we can always whip up a classic cocktail for you if you’re too scared to dive into the deep end,” Jason explains.
Experience new seasonal creations now by sipping on the Gilda, a blend of tequila, cinnamon and pineapple. Or try the returning Wolf with Red Roses, an aquavit and cachaça cocktail made with house raspberry honey syrup.
Looking ahead, the team is preparing its spring menu, and bartender Ryan is crafting something truly unexpected. A mix of Aperol vodka, horseradish, strawberry and watermelon may sound unusual, but it promises to be as delicious as it is daring.
The Lazy Greyhound is more than a cocktail bar–it’s an experience. With bold creations, timeless classics and a team that loves to experiment, there are always fresh flavors. Stop by, get comfortable and let them surprise you.
The Lazy Greyhound is located at 2570 Main Street, #100, Littleton. Its hours are Monday – Saturday 3 p.m. – 11 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Sunday.
