Tradition continues this week in Denver with the 79th Annual Steer at The Brown Palace where attendees will get to take photos with the National Western Stock Show’s Grand Champion Steer. Some additional events include Billy Strings and Loud Luxury in town for shows, a Full & Buzzed Dinner, the Winter Whiskey Tasting Festival, the 43rd Annual Colorado Indian Market & Southwest Art Fest and Winter Boutique Warehouse Sale.

Christian Lee Hutson

The Lowdown: Christian Lee Hutson is an alternative/indie singer. Hutson began as a member of The Driftwood Singers before breaking out as a solo artist in 2019. Since, he has released three albums, most recently Paradise Pop. 10 (2024) and single “Same Train.” Musician Allegra Krieger will open.

Green Matter

The Lowdown: Green Matter is the dubstep project of Anita Rojo. In 2023, she released EP Peace In Chaos. She describes her sound as “nostalgic bass music” and will be joined by SWMO, Dougie T and ABLATIVE.

Billy Strings

The Lowdown: The beloved bluegrass prodigy from Michigan returns for his Winter Tour with a stop at Ball Arena, following the release of latest album Highway Prayers (2024). Get your boogie shoes on and jam along to the impressive pickings of Billy Strings (guitar, vocals), Billy Failing (banjo), Royal Masat (bass), Jarrod Walker (mandolin) and Alex Hargreaves (fiddle). Loud Luxury

The Lowdown: Loud Luxury is a Canadian music production and DJ duo made of Andrew Fedyk and Joe Depace, based in Los Angeles. Their latest release is single “Cool Like That” from August 2024 with Bobby Shmurda. CharlieWonder and Drive Theory will open.

The Lowdown: As tradition has it, the National Western Stock Show’s Grand Champion Steer will join guests at The Brown Palace Hotel during their Afternoon Tea. The steer will make a grand entrance with the Grand Reserve Steer down the red carpet. Attendees will be able to take photos with the steers until 1 p.m. or whenever they decide they’re done modeling. VIP admission includes a BBQ Luncheon, two Pendleton Canadian Whisky Cocktails, and an open bar of beer and wine.

43rd Annual Colorado Indian Market & Southwest Art Fest
