We done did it, everyone! We’ve made it through to 2025—and of course, to get the year started off correctly we’ve got the usual bevy of shows to choose from. Ain’t no rest for the wicked! Here’s some highlights:
Intergalactic neo-soul duo Hyperbella are touching down at the Skylark Lounge on 1/3 for what’s sure to be an unbelievably groovy evening. They’ve beamed in Jade Oracle and Lady Los to make sure the dancefloor is hot from start to finish, so make sure you get there and get those 2025 dancing shoes worn in properly.
It’s one helluva double-header at Cervantes’ this weekend! All-star Allman Brothers tribute Trouble No More is gracing the stage on 1/3 and 1/4 and they’ll have Steely Dead bringing their blend of covers to the Masterpiece stage each night. On the Other Side, Kendall Street Company will be tearing it up both evenings, with support from Joslyn & The Sweet Compression on 1/3 and Eddie Roberts & The Lucky Strokes with the grooves on 1/4.
Once upon a time, Playboy Magazine said that Colfax Avenue was “the longest, wickedest street in America.” Bringing that reputation to our fine music scene, Colfax Speed Queen is returning to the stage at the Hi-Dive on 1/4 for a night that’s guaranteed to be obscenely rowdy in all the best ways. Team Nonexistent and Night Fishing will be bringing the debauchery from the moment doors open—start your New Year off right with some real shenanigans.
The rest of this week’s shows are below. The happiest of New Year’s to all our faithful readers, and as always — stay in the know about Denver’s music scene with 303 Magazine!
