2019 is turning out to be a year of touring legacy acts. Following recent announcements from the likes of Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones and The Who, none other than Carlos Santana has announced his return to the Mile High City. The “Supernatural Now Tour” will hit the Pepsi Center on July 3 with the Doobie Brothers opening. The forthcoming tour coincides with the 20th anniversary of his extremely successful album Supernatural, as well as the 50th Anniversary of the band’s marquee performance at Woodstock. The last time Santana played in Denver was an intimate Red Rocks performance in 2017.

Nostalgia aside, Supernatural became, perhaps, Santana’s quintessential release as it barred singles like “Smooth,” featuring Rob Thomas and “Maria Maria.” Likewise, with the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock nearing, the original Woodstock co-creator has confirmed plans to re-up on the festival in August of this year, and Santana seems like a shoo-in for inclusion on the festival’s first return since a failed relaunch in 1999.

Tickets for the upcoming jaunt go on sale Friday, January 25 at 10 a.m. via Altitude Tickets.
