With every season of Denver Fashion Week (DFW) comes new ideas on how to bring fashion to the Mile High community. Over the past decade, DFW has undergone multiple transformations. What started off as a single night — where the main focus was the hair with talented hairdressers and makeup artists — transformed into a week-long event with runway shows showcasing beauty and style. Each season, local designers create unique and edgier designs that always push the limits. This time, DFW decided to go beyond the runway.
For the first time ever, DFW is taking some of the best designs and photography from past seasons to create an exhibit unlike any before. From February 2 through April 7, The Best of Denver Fashion Week Exhibit is on display and open to the public at the McNichols building. This exhibit will take you on a decade-long journey through some of the most memorable DFW moments. From towering headdresses to shimmering gowns and edgy statement pieces, behind-the-scenes photography and exclusive local designs will weave you a story of our history.
The exhibit will kick-off with an opening night party on February 2 from 6-9 p.m. at the McNichols building. It is free to attend for all ages. Go here to RSVP.
On April 7, the exhibit will close with a Denver Fashion Week Marketplace where visitors have a chance to talk to the designers on that are featured and purchase select pieces of their designs. Stay tuned for more details on that.
