Denver has some banging events lined up for the week. Start it off by celebrating the holiday with a classic during Christmas at The Sie and end it by saying cheers to the new year with Decadence Colorado. Whatever you end up doing, make sure to check out this roundup of events in Denver.

Monday, December 24

Christmas at The Sie

The Lowdown: Sie FilmCenter presents Christmas at The Sie. FirstBank sponsors a screening of It’s A Wonderful Life. The film follows the journey of George Bailey as he contemplates taking his life but is stopped by a guardian angel – Clarence, who shows George the impact he had on the lives around him.

Stetson Pop-Up Shop

The Lowdown: Larimer Square presents a Stetson Pop-Up Shop. The event features a special holiday market with Stetson apparel, boots and more. You can find that perfect last-minute gift for the holidays.

The SantaLand Diaries

When: December 24

Where: Denver Center of Performing Arts,  1101 13th St., Denver

The Lowdown: Let out some holiday stress at The SantaLand Diaries. This comedic series features Crumpet the Elf telling stories from David Sedaris. Crumpet will tell fantastical tales from his days at Macy’s SantaLand and expose some harsh holiday truths. This is not your average holiday show, so don’t miss out on letting off some stress from the holiday season.

Crafty Mondays

The Lowdown: Grandma’s House presents Crafty Mondays. You can participate in crafts with others and sip on brews from Grandma’s House. All crafting supplies are available to use with the purchase of a full beer.

Where: Denver Pavilions 500 15th St., Denver 

Cost: $3 per ride

The Lowdown: The Holiday Carousel is back by popular demand. The carousel will run all through December and bring in the new year with New Year’s Eve rides. The ride will bring you back to your childhood years with magic and Christmas cheer. All proceeds from the rides will go toward Food Bank for the Rockies to help feed those in need.

Grey’s Anatomy Trivia Night

Ballet Ariel: The Nutcracker

The Lowdown: Denver Museum of Nature & Science presents Hollywood Favorite. The event features a screening of First Man: 2D– a film that follows Neil Armstrong and NASA’s mission to have a man land on the moon. The film is based on the book by James R. Hansen.

The Lowdown: Abraxas Studios presents an Outer Space Techniques acrylic painting class.  Tropical Trail Tours

Decadence Colorado

The Lowdown: End your 2018 in a bang during Decadence Colorado. You can watch performances from Above & Beyond, Alison Wonderland, Anti Up, Big Wild and during two evenings of wild fun. Decadence is one of the biggest New Year’s Eve parties in Denver so make sure to dress up and show up.
