Seasonal Fashion Trends Ruled the Runway at the Larimer Square Fall Fashion Show

On an exceptionally warm autumn evening, Larimer Square brought the best seasonal style to EDGE Bar and Restaurant at The Four Seasons with its Fall Fashion Show. Models commanded attention on the stage dressed in seasonal outerwear, clothing and accessories from 15 different Larimer Square boutiques including Hailee Grace, Fluevog Shoes and Qinti. The complete looks were pulled together with makeup from AILLEA and hair styled by L Style Bar. It

Mountain Khakis brought quintessential autumn style to the runway in the form of vests, cable stitch sweaters, plaid and denim.

Larimer Square has no shortage of attractions for both visitors and locals but the chic boutiques that line the square are at the top of an impressive list of businesses found there. The event gave attendees the ability to check out the seasonal trends and staples from some well-known boutiques and get acquainted with some brands they may not have seen on the runway before. Belong Designs is one brand starting to make the catwalk home. Ben Thomson started the lifestyle brand five years ago and now has a pop-up shop in Larimer Square. The Fall Fashion Show gave him, his co-founders and his brand some coveted exposure to a new audience. “It’s humbling and it’s super cool to be part of this. It’s not something we would picture ourselves in but it’s very cool to be here. It’s our own form of respect to watch what people do here. Although we have a long-term pop-up shop, it’s ending soon so we’re still figuring out where we’ll go next, but we love Larimer Square and would love to stay here,” said Thomson.

As the models strutted the runway in alpaca fur outerwear, seasonal outfits in shades of mustard, rust and cognac and on-trend cobalt blue statement pieces, we were comforted by the fact that cooler weather is right around the corner. It was both comforting to know the sun-soaked days are numbered and thrilling that we have a variety of boutiques in Larimer Square ready to help us update our fall wardrobes.

Musical Resolutions

Making a New Year's resolution on or before January 1 is admittedly a somewhat arbitrary annual goal-setting regimen. Sure, the Greco-Roman calendar correlates approximately with our astrological lap around the Sun, but getting your ambition on should ideally happen more than just once a year. Still, aiming high is rarely a bad idea, (unless you're defending yourself against a murderous Leprechaun) no matter how trivial the underlying reason for doing so may be.
