Stranahan’s Distillery is back with its third annual Cask Thief event on June 23. Guests will have the opportunity to sip samples from some of Stranahan’s most rare concoctions and purchase rare bottles of Cask Thief: Stolen Sips (six barrel-finished Stranahan’s whiskeys).

This festival is a can’t miss event for anyone looking to try exclusive and rare whiskeys by master distiller Rob Dietrich. All six of the Cask Thief Stolen Sips bottles have been pulled from Stranahan’s rack house and will be shared for the first time at the festival. Cask Thief was born from Dietrich’s passion for sharing craft whiskey with the Denver community, and since 2004, Stranahan’s has done just that.

“We’re always looking for ways to give back to the local community that has passionately supported us over the past decade,” explained Dietrich. “I love experimenting with different cask finishings to see how our original American Single Malt captures the nuances from the wood. It’s been interesting to see which flavor profiles resonate with our fans, and now with Stolen Sips, they can keep enjoying the experience at home.”
Stranahan’s, founded in 2004 by Jess Graber, produces single malt whiskey from Colorado’s first legal distillery. And as one of the first distilleries to specialize in American single malt, they’ve continued to produce craft bottles for whiskey lovers near and far. Tickets include six unique whiskey samples, food, Sweet Action Ice Cream and Eldorado Springs water. In addition to these offerings, the event will feature live music and a special demonstration from Independent Stave Company.
This year’s Cask Thief Festival will take place Saturday, June 23 at 200 South Kalamath Street, Denver. The event begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m., tickets are available here
