The Great Western Alpaca Show Is Back and You Can Still Take Selfies

Sure, selfies with your dog are cute, but have you ever taken a picture with an alpaca? This weekend from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6, 2018, you can visit the National Western Stock Show Complex at 4655 Humboldt Street in Denver and meet alpacas of all colors and sizes as part of the Great Western Alpaca Show. Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies (ABR) will host the event, and you can watch alpacas take part in a series of events such as a halter competition, walking fleece judging event, obstacle course and more. And the best part is — the event and parking are absolutely free.

You can also visit the fluffy alpacas that aren’t in the ring and take selfies with them from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. We promise it’ll be the best profile picture you ever take.

To recap briefly, a Casting Director somehow found me on Myspazz and asked me to submit for consideration. I submitted an application and several YouTube clips in December and awaited their verdict.
