Even though the weather is topsy-turvy, Denver has some stable events to keep you sane. Start your weekend off by embracing fashion at Denver Fashion Week and end it by taking a taste of both art and food at The Art of Brunch. Whatever you end up doing, make sure to take a peek at this roundup of events in Denver.

Thursday, March 22

Denver Fashion Week

The Lowdown: 303 Magazine continues celebrating style at Denver Fashion Week and there are a ton of amazing shows that you need to see. Thursday marks the fifth day of the fashion showcase, featuring the Steve Boi exclusive collection. Steve Boi is known for creating accessories, eyewear and clothing for stars such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Kesha, Rihanna and Elton John. Friday brings the Paper Fashion Show to Seawell Ballroom in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Round out the weekend with the Saturday show of national designers and the much-loved Hair Show on Sunday.

So All May Eat Gala

The Lowdown: Gather around for dinner to create a closer community at So All May Eat Gala. Local chefs present a menu of small plates created with healthy and clean food. These locally-sourced meals bring happiness to your heart and belly. Imbibe on local beer from Renegade Brewing Company and liquor from Woody Creek Distillers as you try each dish. The event is for everyone, so if you cannot pay the ticket price, pay as much as you can or donate.

Bottle Release of Shirtless Putin Nuzzling with Dolphins

The Lowdown: Call to Arms Brewing Company welcomes back the second batch of its famous brew at the bottle release of Shirtless Putin Nuzzling With Dolphins. The Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Baltic Porter with Coffee is brewed with a special blend of Czech Pils yeast, seven different malts and then barreled in Four Roses bourbon barrels. There are only 400 bottles released and a limit of four bottles per customer, so make sure to grab it while you can. 

Cherry Creek Beer Garden

The Lowdown: Moxy Denver Cherry Creek — a newly opened hotel and venue — presents its Cherry Creek Beer Garden. The beer garden opens for a night of drinks, music and more. You can get a great view of Cherry Creek and relax with bean bag tosses and a drink in hand. DJ 2AR spins hot beats to keep you moving as you sip on delightful beers.

Paper Fashion Show

The Lowdown: Embrace Denver Fashion Week and see a Paper Fashion Show. The show features designs created from paper donated by paper mills and Spicers Paper. The creations are voted on by a panel of judges and winners are given trophies made of — you guessed it — paper

Colorado Anime Fest

The Lowdown: Colorado Anime Fest returns for the third year in a row. 5th Annual Native Fashion in the City

The Lowdown: Experience some amazing indigenous individuals at the 5th Annual Native Fashion in the City. The event features Native American artisans, fashion designers, photographers and more. You can get in on pop-up shops, an interactive runway show and networking opportunities.

King of Carrot Flowers Release

March For Our Lives

The Lowdown: March for the students and victims of shootings across America at March For Our Lives. March For Our Lives was created and led by students from around the country to stop the increase of mass school shootings.

RiNo Community Clean-Up Day

The Lowdown: Help make the RiNo Art District look and feel better at a RiNo Community Clean-Up Day. You can pick up trash around the neighborhood and get a better look at what the district offers. When you volunteer you receive free breakfast, lunch, a RiNo t-shirt from A Small Print Shop and a free drink at any of the participating DRiNK RiNo breweries, wineries and more within your clean up zone.

2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted Release

The Lowdown:  Comrade Brewing Company presents a collaboration with Casey Brewing and Blending with a 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted Release. The brew features a modified Superpower IPA base that has been aged in oak barrels with Casey Brewing and Blending’s mixed culture and has matured on Colorado peaches and dry-hopped. The release has a limit of two bottles per person and is first come first serve.

Bollywood Dance Party

The Lowdown: Dress in your most colorful clothing for a Bollywood Dance Party to celebrate Holi. You can dance all night to DJ MRA spinning Bollywood, EDM, Bhangra and more. Suprise live performances will keep you on your toes. The party spans throughout the night and into the morning so be ready to get crazy. Hurry and get your tickets as they are selling fast.

The Cat Crawl

The Lowdown: Take the night to save the kitties at The Cat Crawl. Dress up like a cat and drink for a good cause starting at Bang Up to the Elephant and hitting up Kinga’s, Blush and Blu and X-Bar. The ticket price gets you free drinks and drink specials during the crawl. All of the proceeds from the crawl goes towards the Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue to help kitties in need.

Crawfish Madness

The Lowdown: Let out some of that March Madness stress at Crawfish Madness. Monkey Barrel Bar presents a Louisiana-style Crawfish boil to fill you up. You can also listen to live music from Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts as you crack into your crawfish.

AllYouCanEat Sunday Luau

The Lowdown: Get tropical and feel those summery vibes at an AllYouCanEat Sunday Luau. Adrift throws the luau featuring Kalama Polynesian dancers, all-you-can-eat pork and traditional Hawaiian sides to give you that island feel. Reservations for the luaus fill-up quick, so call Adrift and get in on the action. 

NamasBey

The Lowdown: Stretch out your limbs at NamasBey. Kady from Big Booty Yoga leads the all levels yoga sessions with tunes courtesy of Queen Bey. You can listen to Beyonce and let go of all of your weekly stresses. After class, you can grab a free beer or mimosa to refresh. The classes fill up quick so get your tickets fast.

CRBC Mac N’ Cheese Off

The Lowdown: Chain Reaction Brewing Company hosts its second CRBC Mac N’ Cheese Off. You can compete with your best version of mac n’ cheese for judging and win prizes or you can dig into that delicious gooey goodness as a spectator. Nothing goes better with a bowl of hot mac then some great beer, which Chain Reaction Brewing is supplying. You can also listen to music from Ham Bone Thieves while you munch. 

The Art of Brunch

The Lowdown: The Art District on Santa Fe is back with The Art of Brunch. You can visit more than 20 galleries and creative businesses to experience the art district and munch on complimentary brunch bites. Each location you visit has a different brunch-y bite for you to try. This hit brunch-art crawl only occurs in the spring and fall, so get excited.
