The Lowdown: Flex your brain muscles at Trivia! The Denver Press Club hosts trivia each first Monday of the month. You can have a chance at winning sweet prizes for each monthly winner and have a chance to be season winners as well.

Meet Charles Darwin

The Lowdown: Celebrate Charles Darwin’s birthday by learning more about him at Meet Charles Darwin. Brian “Fox” Ellis plays Darwin in a performance to tell about Darwin’s life and accomplishments. Journey through discoveries of evolution, geology and more at this hilarious re-enactment of the famous scientific visionary’s life.

Denver Captured in Plein Air

The Lowdown: Stop by the M. Romero Gallery to experience Denver Captured in Plein Air. The new exhibition features works from Dawn Cohen as the first solo exhibition at m. Romero Gallery. Cohen’s art focusses on plein air painting, a technique that captures outdoor scenes throughout the course of days or weeks, to present a piece that holds the subtle changes of the scene over time.

Sweat, Spin & Sip

The Lowdown: Heat up at Sweat, Spin & Sip. The 60-minute class features cycling and HIIT combined to get your body moving. The cycling portion of the class is taught by High Ride Cycle and HIIT is instructed by Fitness in the City. You can also grab a free beer or glass of wine with any meal purchase after the class.

Oskar Blues Open Mic Night

DPS ED Talk

The Lowdown: Hear from students at DPS ED Talk. Denver Public Schools presents the second part of its three-part series of talks focussed on the topic of belonging. DPS students will share their experience and take on what it means to belong in all aspects of their lives.

Fit and Fold

The Lowdown: Get ready to break a sweat at Fit and Fold. You can keep up with your fitness journey at a 75-minute class led by Jillian Keaveny. The class uses SoundOff headphones to pull you into music and connect you with your fellow class members. The beginning of the class focusses on strength and cardio, while the second part helps you balance and pose with yoga.

Mario Kart Tournament

The Lowdown: Get your Valentine’s Day started early by showing some self-love at Social Sweat X GALentine’s Spin and Shop. PostSecret: The Show

The Lowdown: Head over to Lone Tree to see PostSecret: The Show. The show dives deeper into PostSecret Blog and immerses you into a journey of secrets and the stories that we keep private and sometimes share. The show aims to reveal how secrets can separate us and bring us closer together.

Intro to Ice Climbing

The Lowdown: Arc’teryx Denver hosts a free Intro to Ice Climbing class. The class features Jason Antin who will teach everything you might want to know about ice climbing. Antin presents gear and techniques he uses to ice climb and how you can do better yourself. Following the class you can participate in a Q&A session to answer any questions you might possibly have about the sport.

Pre-Valentine’s Day Dance

The Lowdown: Swing the night away at a Pre-Valentine’s Day Dance. Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles Band will rev up the night with vintage jazz. You can hit the dance floor swing dancing and if you aren’t sure of your skills you can take a $10 lesson starting at 6 p.m.

SheJumps and Her Odyssey

The Lowdown: SheJumps and Her Odyssey join together for an evening of adventure and travel. Her Odyssey, comprised of two women took on a trek from Patagonia to Alaska using only non-motorized ways. Her Odyssey discusses their adventures and tips and tricks.  All proceeds from the event go towards SheJumps, a nonprofit organization helping women and girls participate more in the outdoors.

Ski Waxing Party

Outdoor Adventure Quest

The Lowdown: Get outdoors with an Outdoor Adventure Quest. The Quest runs for three days and pushes your limit with a build-your-own adventure challenge. Colorado Dancesport Showcase
