Twist & Shout Records have a busy month ahead of them. It all begins with a listening party focused on Fleet Foxes this Friday, June 16. All who attend the party will be entered to win a new Fleet Foxes lithograph. For those who aren’t familiar, a lithograph is a form of printing that usually results in really cool, really rare posters. The lithograph winner will be announced at the event and the winner must be present to claim their prize. Fans will also be given the chance to enter to win a vinyl test printing (very limited) and a lithograph. The test pressing winner will be announced June 19.
Twist & Shout will also be holding a listening party for Prince’s Purple Rain next week. The legendary artist’s best-selling album, which went platinum 13 times and reported over 21 million sales worldwide, will be played for listeners on Friday, June 23 at 6 p.m. Attendees will have the chance to listen to legendary artist’s considerably greatest album while surrounded by other fans who appreciate his work. There will also be prizes. Twist & Shout Records will be giving away 12″ singles, deluxe CDs, an LP of Purple Rain, t-shirts and more.

NPG Records and Warner Bros. Records are set to release a deluxe edition of Purple Rain as well as a deluxe — expanded edition of the same album the day as the party. The deluxe CD will include two discs — one will be the original Purple Rain (2015 remaster) and the other will be a “from the vault/ previously unreleased” disc. Also available on that day will be the expanded edition, which will include the same two discs as the deluxe, as well as a third CD — Single Edits and B-Side. Additionally on the expanded package will be a concert DVD of Prince And The Revolution, Live at the Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY, March 30, 1985.
In addition to the CDs, Twist & Shout will, of course, have many Prince records available. They will have Purple Rain (Remastered) on 180 gram vinyl, Purple Rain (picture disk) on vinyl, Purple Rain (single) on 12″ vinyl, I Would Die 4 U (single) on vinyl, Let’s Go Crazy (single) on 12″ vinyl and When Doves Cry on 12″ vinyl.

Including never-before-seen photographs and interviews. This book is a must-have for any musically-inclined family’s coffee table.
