Start the week off right with heavy metal powerhouse Mushroomhead at the Summit Music Hall. The masked ensemble has been touring and recording for over two decades and has the cult following to proove it. Their image and sound is avant garde with many unexpected influences to their music which brings a real theatrical quality to an already charged show.

Recommended: Animals As Leaders @ The Gothic
Tuesday night, check out Animals As Leaders (AAL) at The Gothic. The progressive rock trio is well known for their djent sound a variation of progressive metal in sound and scene. AAL is promoting their fourth studio album that was released earlier this year titled The Madness of Many. Grab tickets soon, this show is slated to sell out.

Recommended: Planes Mistaken For Stars @ The Marquis
Back in action after a decade, Planes Mistaken for Stars just released their fourth album Prey. The post-hardcore crew is back in town after a great reception earlier this year at Riot Fest and some fans may even remember when they were based out of Denver and released their second EP in 1999. You can check out Prey in its entirety on Youtube before heading to the intimate Marquis theater to get out your emo on humpday.

Rapper and producer Lupe Fiasco will be throwing down at the Fillmore on Thursday night to the delight of Denver fans. Fiasco, known for his concious hip-hop stylings, has numerous hit releases over the past decade.
