Monday, December 5

Catfish & The Bottlemen will be at The Ogden theater Monday night. Their tour commemorates the May 2016 release of their second studio album The Ride. The British rock outfit has had great success with their newest album in the British rock charts and their U.S. branch of the tour is a great opportunity to see some quintessential rock music. What better way to start your week?

Tuesday, December 6

Hip-hop powerhouse PartyNextDoor will light up your Tuesday night at the Fillmore Auditorium. PartyNextDoor, the Canadian rapper and song writer, is known as Drake’s protege and has worked alongside many famous names in the 2016 hip-hop landscape. PartyNextDoor’s newest album PartyNextDoor 3 is exemplary of his style and talent as a song writer. Make sure and snag tickets to enjoy a really solid hip-hop show.

Summit Music Hall is offering an amazing opportunity to rage all night on humpday –  The Forged in Fire tour brings In Flames and Hellyeah! to the mile high city. Both groups have rabid cult followings and the show is slated to be a raucous night of groove metal and a mix of dancing and moshing. Hellyeah! just released their fifth studio album Unden!able; look out for their Phil Collins cover. In Flames, the prolific Swedish heavy metal band, have Hellyeah! beat this year having just released their twelfth studio album Battles.

Speaking of a rocking week of double headers, Thursday night might take the cake in terms of range and star power. Fitz & the Tantrums are back in town quickly after their well-received performance at Riot Fest earlier this year. Their June self-titled studio release and its singles have been a sensation and are reaching critical acclaim. Plus, Gavin Degraw, who recently released his sixth album Something Worth Saving, will be very worth checking out. With any luck both acts will play all their fan favorites so everyone can dance the night away.

Enjoy a night of Colorado natives jamming out on Friday. The Ogden will host the Wood Brothers, originally born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. The brothers and their third, Jano Rix, are prolific artists majoring in blues and folk. The trio’s long history of intimate music will bring a fulfilling set to life and should make for an incredible show.

Cult classic the Crystal Method will be taking advantage of the nation’s best sound system at Beta on Saturday. Talk about a party in the making. The duo of EDM DJs have a long and varied career with new music released frequently for over the past twenty years. Their songs have been kept alive with appearances in television, film and video games. Their video for “Over It” is very entertaining but may be NSFW.
