It seems as if this weeks biggest news was the semi-epic snowfall we witnessed Tuesday into Wednesday afternoon, and by semi-epic I mean the first fall to stick. Thankfully that’s not all that’s been happening in the Mile High, Edge Restaurant announced they will hide gift cards downtown, Bread Bar expanded its hours into the weekend and more to know this week.

Edge Restaurant Announces the Great Gift Card Hunt

On Monday, December 12 Edge Restaurant will hide three gifts cards in downtown Denver. Everyday they will continue to reveal one clue until the gift cards are found. The lucky winners will receive a dinner for two at Edge. Clues can be found on the Four Seasons Hotel Denver and Edge Steakhouse Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts. ViewHouse Teamed Up with the Boys and Girls Club

The ViewHouse Centennial and Ballpark have teamed up with the Boys and Girls of America to provide a drop off location for the Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive. Each guest who drops off an unwrapped toy donation will receive free ViewHouse peppermint Godiva chocolate martini. They will also donate $1 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of metro Denver for each purchased peppermint Godiva chocolate martini through December 16.

The Bread Bar Expands Hours into Sunday

Ski season is upon us and with it comes the onslaught of traffic. A great option in “sitting one out” is a stop at the Bread Bar in Silver Plume who recently expanded their weekend availability. Starting this weekend Bread Bar will be open Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in addition to Friday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.. To celebrate their new hours, the Long I Pie Shop will host a special pop-up all day Saturday and Rubyfruit will play a live hour long set starting at 6:30 p.m.

Fiction Beer Company Collaborates with Glazed and Confuzed Once Again

Fiction Beer Company and Denver donut staple Glazed and Confuzed have once again decided to join forces to create a unique breakfast pastry inspired brew. Last years collaboration brought forth the Donut Panic which was a strawberry wit inspired by the classic strawberry donut. This year their third annual take is sure to quite different adjusting the all together mouthfeel of their end product while still adding a hint of strawberry icing flavor. The release party will take place Saturday, December 17.

First Bank and Little Man Ice Cream Partner to Help Habitat for Humanity

First Bank, along with Little Man Ice Cream are throwing the city’s first ever gingerbread house decorating party. This Saturday, December 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Little Man tin participants will have the opportunity to decorate and design their own gingerbread houses. Hot cocoa, ice cream, live music and prizes including limited edition skis, snowboards and a four pack to Copper Mountain will be awarded. Donations are encouraged. Not only will participants be building their own gingerbread homes but they will also be helping to build safe homes for low-income families through Habitat for Humanity.
