Halloween is creeping up on the Mile High, which means your spooky festivities should start a week early in the Denver food scene. As part of your pre-hallo-week, participate in activities like a voter registration happy hour, Crawl-O-Ween, a zombie Gatsby ball and plenty more. Read on for a detailed list of events happening this week.

Monday, October 24

Patxi Pizza Fundraiser

When: 11 a.m.–11 p.m.

Where: Patxi’s Uptown, 1598 E 17th Ave.

The Lowdown: Eat pizza, drink beer and enjoy the Broncos game in support of BikeDenver at this all-day event. 10 percent of sales will benefit this non-profit in working towards more bike lanes and safer streets. Delivery and to-go orders will also benefit the cause. Lunch specials will be available from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Happy hour will be from 3–6 p.m. and our beloved Broncos play at 6:30 p.m.

Chocolate and Wine Pairing Class

The Lowdown: Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Chocolate Therapist. Guests will learn not only the health benefits of chocolate, but also how to correctly pair chocolate and wine by studying the different flavor profiles and how they complement each other. Register to Vote Happy Hour

The Lowdown: Election Day is upon us which means plenty of booze and ensuring that you’ve registered. Join Chad Michael George, Kade Gianinetti and Jared Schwartz from the Way Back in their “Vote For Climate and Voter Registration Happy Hour.” The Way Back is partnering with New Belgium Brewery and Protect our Winters (POW) in support of last-minute voter registration along with raising money for climate change efforts. Any guest that registers to vote at the event will receive a free New Belgium beer. Food and drink happy hour specials will be available during the party. The Lowdown: Come dressed in your best costume and get ready for some Halloween bar-hopping at this year’s Crawl-O-Ween. Take on the streets of Denver in either LoDo or SoBo as you hit places like The Refinery, The Retro Room, Sidecar Lounge Denver and more. The Lowdown: Celebrate Halloween early with all-day drink happy hour and a party at the Wolf Bar featuring all-day Dogfish Head specials and Avanti’s fall apple whisky sour. In addition to dishes from seven restaurant concepts, enjoy a Halloween photo booth and trick-or-treating for the kids from 3–7 p.m.

The Lowdown: Come dressed in your best zombie costume and listen to free live music from Pete Pidgeon and Arcoda, while enjoying $5 Dixie Blackened Voodoo Lager and $6 Shipyard Pumpkin Head. The costume contest will take place at 11 p.m. The winner will receive a $100 bar tab at Baur’s. A $50 tab will go to the runner-up and the third place winner will receive a $25 tab.
