Haunted Dinner

Low Down: Kick off the Halloween season early by attending a haunted dinner. As part of their Paranormal Dinner Series, Bryan and Baxter, a paranormal investigation team, invite you to eat Indian and Nepalese cuisine at the haunted Yak & Yeti restaurant. Listen to ghost stories and learn about Denver’s paranormal history. If you’re unable to make it, the Paranormal Dinner Series continues every Tuesday through December. Rooftop Farm to Table Dinner

Where: 3040 Blake St, Denver

When: 6-9 p.m.

Cost:  $55

Low Down: Join Backyard on Blake to celebrate our local farmers with an evening of food and beverages under the stars. While listening to live music, nosh on locally-grown fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses provided by Pastures of Plenty. Sip on local wine from Balistreri Vineyards. Chefs, growers and winemakers will present each course and proceeds benefit The Grow Haus, a nonprofit indoor farm.

Thursday, September 8

FREESKIER’s Season Kickoff & Beer Release Party

Where: Avery Brewing Company 4910 Nautilus Ct, Boulder

When: 5-9 p.m.

Cost: Free

Low Down: Pow Day IPA is FREESKIER’s newest beer created by Avery Brewing Company. Not only will you have the opportunity to try this brew for free, but FREESKIER will also provide gear raffles, yard games and live music from the Goonies.

 

Friday, September 9

Movie & a Martini

Where: CU South Denver 10035 S Peoria St

When:  5:30-10:30 p.m.

Cost:  General Admission: $28, Annual Pass Holder: $26, CU Faculty, Staff & Alumni:s $23, Designated Drivers: $18.

Low Down: CU South Denver will be showing “Office Space” on the big screen. In addition to the screening, tickets include two drinks, appetizers, access to the museum exhibits, trivia and prizes. Saturday, September 10

Celebrity Bar Crawl

Where: 1201 16th St #120, LoDo

When: 2-8 p.m.

Cost: $10 parties of 6 or more, $15 individual

Low Down: Experience the culture of Italy at Belmar’s Festival Italiano, featuring authentic Italian food and wines. Along with performances by flag throwers from Florence, Italy, the festival will also feature live entertainment and bocce tournaments.
