Good news Potterheads, J.K. Rowling’s latest addition to the series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, hits shelves July 31. Barnes and Nobles reported it’s the most pre-ordered book since the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Based on the play by the same name, the eighth story is set 19 years later where we find Harry Potter an “overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.” According to an official plot description, “Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.” It is based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany and gives Harry Potter fans the ability to experience the storyline of the new play.

So if you didn’t know, now you know, and didn’t pre-order a book, you can still celebrate the launch at these events in Denver.
