Great Trivia Nights to Test Your Knowledge in Denver

Who was the first and only President to serve on the United States Supreme Court? Do you know what country has the highest population of Christians? Trivia is a game testing your wits, alcohol tolerance and friendships. Spots are popping up all over Denver, so we’ve put together a list of the best trivia nights  in Denver to test your knowledge.

Sunday: Punch Bowl Social

Where:  65 Broadway, Denver

On Sunday nights, you can test your knowledge at Punch Bowl Social at 7 p.m. with Geeks Who Drink. Not only is Punch Bowl a great place to play trivia, it’s an awesome place to people watch, play bar games and drink. Host, Micah, is funny and full of personality—just don’t request a Garth Brooks song.  Also for those unaware, trivia with Geeks Who Drink is free and consists of eight rounds of eight questions, with one visual round and happens all around town. Monday: Historians Ale House

Where: 24 Broadway #102, Denver 

Get rid of those Monday blues at Historians Ale House. Geeks Who Drink trivia starts at 8 p.m., but happy hours goes all day. Plus, who doesn’t feel smarter playing trivia at a place called Historians?

Tuesday: The Irish Snug

Where: 1201 E Colfax Ave #100, Denver

Tuesdays are for Trivia at The Irish Snug.Trivia starts at 8 p.m. with Geeks Who Drink, and there is usually a pretty big crowd, so make sure to bring your A-Game. It’s free to play, and teams compete for drinks and gift certificates.

Where: 2920 Larimer St, Denver

Ratio’s trivia is “a bigger badder more inappropriate version of trivia.” Teams of five compete against “experts” on Tuesday nights. If the “experts” win, audience’s prizes “suck,” but if the audience wins, they’ll be going home with some great prizes. Each month has a fun and unique theme (July’s is ’80s and ’90s pro wrestling). Trivia starts at around 8:30 p.m., but sign ups start at 8 p.m. Oh, and it’s free!

Wednesday: NY Pizza Pub

Where: 4340 W 35th Ave, Denver

If you’re looking for a more traditional trivia style, try “This is a Clue” trivia at NY Pizza Pub at 8 p.m. It’s three rounds of general trivia sure to test your smarts—and it’s free.  

Thursday: Lost Highway

Where: 520 E Colfax Ave, Denver

Celebrate a Thirsty Trivia Thursday at Lost Highway with Geeks Who Drink at 8 p.m. It’s dog-friendly, and the host usually has their pooch as the co-host. A fun-filled environment with great beer, trivia and dogs—it doesn’t get much better.

Saturday: Govnr’s Trivia Tournament

Where: 672 Logan St, Denver

If you’re looking to make money with your random knowledge of trivia, check out the trivia tournament at Govnr’s Park Tavern on July 23. First place wins $1,000 and second goes home with $300 house cash—not bad. The tournament starts at 1 p.m., but don’t forget to sign up before and check in at 12 p.m. Govnr’s has regular trivia on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

Saturday: Annie’s Café and Bar

Where: 3100 E Colfax Ave, Denver

Surprisingly, there are some Saturday trivia venues if you just didn’t get enough during the week. This is a Clue Trivia hosts at Annie’s Café and Bar. Down-home friendly service and a comfortable feel, Annie’s starts trivia at 8 p.m.
