Movie lovers should be happy this weekend with an outdoor screening of Inside Out as well as a theatrical adaptation of Sam Raimi’s cult classic Evil Dead. Evil Dead: The Musical

The Low Down: Horror fans and theater fans unite for this one-of-a-kind musical tribute to the gruesome classic. After selling out weeks of shows and winning numerous awards back in 2013, the show is back by popular demand. Broncos Stadium Challenge

The Low Down: This 5k race and music festival will be taking place in the beautiful Sports Authority Field this Saturday. Dance, jog, run or skip your way through an obstacle course and finish things off with a party that’s equipped with DJs, local bands and all. In addition, there will be a beer garden, cheerleaders to encourage you along the way, football games and more. Don’t miss this epic sports event at the Broncos Stadium.
Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown & Gameroom Expo

The Low Down: Are you a fan of old-school arcade games? You’re in luck this weekend because there’s a three-day expo in town just for you. The expo will have over 100 pinball games you can play for free (after the cost of admission) along with various other arcade games. Come experience this gamer paradise right here in Denver before it’s gone.
Movie on the Green: Inside Out

The Low Down: This Friday, Founders Green will be hosting an outside screening of the Oscar-winning animated film Inside Out. Join the community for a family-friendly evening of free film and laughs. Concessions will be available benefitting local non-profits, and food trucks will also be parked on-premise. This is only the first Movie on the Green of the summer so be sure to look out for more in the future.
Man Craftival

The Low Down: There will be bobbing for whiskey–enough said, right? This unique festival catered to everything “man” is back for its second year with a great lineup of things to do. From carnival games to a freak show and a full bar, the Man Craftival is gearing up for an exciting Saturday. In addition, there will be snowcones flavored with liqueurs and dozens of vendors such as Ratio Beerworks, Backyard Soda Co and The Real Dill.

Lit Fest

The Low Down: In partnership with Tattered Cover Book Store comes one of the largest literary events in Colorado. With a book fair, author visits, salons and “speakeasy” readings, this is one event not to be missed for literature lovers.
Summer Art Market

The Low Down: Be sure to stop by this outdoor summer arts festival in Wash Park this weekend either to simply peruse prints or to purchase some good art. While enjoying local beverages you can wander through a variety of mixed-media art that guarantees something for everyone. Considering the event is free and happening all day Saturday and Sunday, this is something that surely shouldn’t be missed.
21+ Roller Skating – Heroes and Villains

The Low Down: Denver, it’s finally time to find those roller-skates you probably haven’t used in awhile and get ready for a fun evening of good vs. evil rollerskating at ROLL Denver.
