The sound of live local music and pinball machines will fill the air this upcoming week as festivals and gamer tournaments sweep through Denver and the surrounding areas. The Denver Berkeley Park Art & Music Festival (free) and The Golden Music Festival ($30 for 3 days) offer a stacked showcase of both local and traveling talent. The Colorado Pinball and Gamer Tournament gives players of all skill levels the chance to try hundreds of retro and contemporary games, either for fun or on a team to compete for prizes and glory. Among the Colors: 1 Year Anniversary & Open Studio Event

When: June 11, 4-8 p.m.

Where: Laura Krudener Art Studio I, 345 7 Ringsby Court, #105, Denver

Cost: Free

The Low Down: Henna tattoos, tarot readings, cocktails, food, and music will enrich this exclusive gallery event hosted by Plus Gallery. To celebrate its one year anniversary, there will also be new works on paper by Laura Krudener.

 

Colorado Pinball and Gamer Tournament

Where: Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows, 10345 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree

The Low Down: Come on down and play hundreds of classic and retro console and arcade games during this three-day tournament. After admission, all games are completely free (no quarters needed!) Attendees have the opportunity to compete in tournaments for all ages and skill levels. There will also be well-renowned pinball and gamer celebrities in attendance.


Golden Music Festival

Cost: $30 for 3 days; single daily $15 in advance, single daily $20 at the gate, kids 12 and under free

The Low Down: The Golden Music Festival channels the true Rocky Mountain sound with 10 masters of roots, folk, and bluegrass sharing the stage during this three-day affair. There will be local vendors, food, and booze for sale throughout the festival. Bring a blanket and enjoy being serenaded among the picturesque Golden landscape.

Denver Berkeley Park Art & Music Festival

When: June 11-12, 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. & 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Where: Berkeley Park, 4600 W. 46th Ave, Denver

Cost: Free

The Low Down: Enjoy a family-friendly arts and music festival at Berkeley Park at 46th & Tennyson. There will be pieces on display by acclaimed artists, food, and a live music stage featuring performances by Ponder The Albatross, Band On The Fence, Kelly Triplett, Doc & Kit, Franny & The Jets and more. Kid activities include a creation station and face painting.

The Low Down: Hanuman Festival is a three-day community-oriented yoga and music festival in Boulder. Attendees can enjoy live music from well-known artists and hear inspiring stories throughout the Wisdom Talk story-telling series.
