Cinco de Mayo is a celebrated holiday to imbibe, and it seems like every place in the city is having some kind of happy hour, event, or specialty margarita. To help you wade through the waves of tacos and tequila, we’ve compiled a list of some of best deals and drinks you’ll find in Denver on Cinco de Mayo.

La Loma still has Denver waiting for their official moving date, but the postponement has afforded fans of the Mexican restaurant one final Cinco de Mayo celebration. Kachina’s executive chef Jeff Bolton will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo-themed cooking class to start your night off. With the dishes, participants get a margarita flight of Kachina’s signature drinks: The Marg, Controlled Burn, and Prickly Pixie. Additionally, Kachina will offer an all-day happy hour (11 a.m. – 11 p.m.) featuring small bites, tacos, beers and signature cocktails.

This Cinco de Mayo, behind the red door on Larimer, the Crimson Room will be serving a selection of agave cocktails. One of the featured drinks, the Mexican Firing Squad—created by American author Charles H. Baker—is a mixture of tequila, lime, grenadine and bitters. The Ultima Palabra and Oaxacan Old Fashioned also featured on the Cinco de Mayo list each feature mezcal and floral supporting notes. Safe to say, there will be a drink for everyone.

Where: 1747 Wynkoop St.

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Hopdoddy Burger Bar wants to do something different. Instead of a traditional margarita, the bar will feature a rosemary Paloma, a fresh and light tequila cocktail topped with bubbles, rosemary simple syrup, grapefruit juice and lime. In keeping with a non-traditional approach, Hopdoddy will also be serving up their 7-layer Burger, a new twist on the Tex-Mex dip with Angus beef, refried black beans, hand-mashed guacamole, cheddar, sour cream, tortilla chips and cilantro-spiked pico de gallo.
