The holiday season brings joyous magic as well as whimsical delights. The Oxford Hotel Dolls’ Tea Party is one such experience that brings out the imaginative child in each of us. The Oxford Hotel is LoDo’s historic boutique hotel and this is a classic tea party that adults and children alike will enjoy. Hot cocoa for children and tea for adults including a light snack of sandwiches and assorted treats. And no tea party is complete without your favorite doll so please encourage your child or children to bring their favorite doll along to enjoy the festivities.
A highlight of the Dolls’ Tea Party is a ballet performance designed especially for children by the Arvada Dance Center. Children will also have an opportunity to meet the ballerinas and take photos with them. How grand!
“This year’s performance is Grandpa’s Candy Store, a story set on a snowy winter evening. A little girl is visiting her grandparents who live upstairs from a candy shop that has been in the family for hundreds of years. There is always something special in this shop to see, do and taste, and the little girl can’t wait until morning to see her beloved grandpa’s shop. When she sneaks into the shop at midnight, the display dolls for each kind of candy come to life!”
The hotel will be “decked out with gorgeous holiday decorations” and is the perfect setting to gather for your holiday family photo.
Sunday, December 6th the magic of the season comes alive for three seatings for what is becoming a favorite holiday tradition. Each Doll’s Tea Party lasts for approximately 90 minutes.
