Denver’s Bacon and Beer Festival & 5 Other Fun Events This Week

The Bacon and Beer Festival is finally here! Purchase your tickets today so that you don’t miss out on this much anticipated event. Also, be sure to check out the Pancakes and Booze Art Show, this unique event has already taken over LA and is hoping to do the same in Denver. Other events happening this week include a Neyers Wine Dinner, an opening day party for winter sports at Punch Bowl Social, Rock-A-Belly Festival, and 16th Street’s annual Deck the Mall.

Neyers Wine Dinner

The Low Down: Neyers Vineyards winemaker Tadeo Borchardt will be teaming up with TAG chef, Troy Guard to create a five course menu; each course will be paired with a rare Neyers Vineyards wine. Neyers Vineyards is a Napa Valley winery founded in 1992, in 2002 Neyers Vineyards was awarded “Artisan Winery of the Year” by Wine and Spirits Magazine. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a night of fine wines and delicious foods.

When: November 6, 6 – 10 p.m.

Where: Punch Bowl Social, 65 Broadway, Denver

Cost: Free

The Low Down: Punch Bowl Social will join Breckenridge and Never Summer Industries to help host and celebrate the opening day of the winter sports season. This will be the first in a series of nationwide celebrations. This FREE event, will include music by Nun’s Of Brixton (Clash Cover Band), a mechanical bull, and a Andrew Hoffman Designed Snowboard giveaway. Be sure to stop by with your skis or snowboard so that 7Twenty Boardshop can give them a good wax, in preparation for the upcoming season.

Rock-A-Belly Festival

Where: Turnhalle at Tivoli – Metropolitan State University of Denver, 900 Auraria Pkwy., Denver

The Low Down: Food for Thought is excited to host Rock-A-Belly Festival. This purpose of this annual festival is to raise awareness of the hungry children in Denver. The funds raised with be used to provide food as well as go towards building two new schools for these children in need. Your ticket will include beer tastings, food tastings, and live music by Los Straightjackets and The Hillbilly Hellcats! Enjoy small plates and some of Denver’s top craft brew while supporting an important local cause.

Deck the Mall

The Low Down: This holiday spectacular is an annual shopping event that is not to be missed. With one of-a-kind items, handcrafted goods, and a spread of delicious foods, this is the perfect chance to get a head start on your holiday shopping. For a special treat, this unique experience will also offer live entertainment and free hot chocolate to help you stay warm.

Pancakes and Booze Art Show

The Low Down: This LA based artist movement is taking over Denver. While pancakes are cooking on the griddle, beer is pouring from the taps, and your body is being covered in paint, this pop-up underground art showcase is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Both Indie musicians and DJs will show off their version of art, while you have the chance to explore the work of local emerging artists and indulge in the endless amounts of free pancakes.

The Low Down: For the fourth year, EatBoston and Denver Off The Wagon are excited you bring you delicious mouthwatering bacon creations, paired with unique and tasty beers. For the first time, Imbibe Events will join this dream team to help make your experience even more spectacular. “Anticipation is already building for this year’s weekend of festivities,” said Aaron Cohen, founder of the Bacon and Beer Festival series. “Denver has been a great host to us and I am so excited to see what the city has in store of us this year!’ To kickoff the festival will be a five course bacon and beer dinner, so be sure to bring your appetite.
