A Moveable Pre-Thanksgiving Feast: Dine Out to End Childhood Hunger

The Low Down: With every one in five children in Colorado facing hunger, Cooking Matters Colorado has partnered with 20 local restaurants for Dine Out to End Childhood Hunger Day. Avoid the kitchen prior to Thanksgiving and visit one of the many restaurants who want you to dine out with them, to help end child hunger. At each participating restaurant 10 percent of all proceeds made that evening will be donated back to Cooking Matters Colorado.

The Low Down: Cook Street is offering a way for you to freshen up on your culinary skills just in time for Thanksgiving. Attend Classic Techniques: Essentials II to refine your skills when it comes to meat fabrication and sauce making. Sign up for Culinary Date Night to spend some quality time with your significant other while sipping on cocktails and creating delicious dishes. In preparation for the holiday season, Cook Street will also be offering a Holiday Cookie Class, as well as a Kids Class: Cookies & Cupcakes. Show up prepared to test your cooking skills and ready to have a good time.

The Low Down: Whole Foods and Mockery Brewing are joining forces at the Denver Bicycle Cafe. Gourmet hand picked cheeses will be matched with the large selection of Mockery Breweries delicious beers. Enjoy the delicious pairings while discussing as well as learning from cheese expert, Nate Cougill. what better way is there to cheers to the long holiday weekend.
Pie and Beer Pairing

The Low Down: Join The Long I Pie Shop at Black Shirt Brewing Co. for a pie and beer pairing. For $20 you can pair four top notch pies with four delicious and unique (sample sized) beers. With no advanced tickets available, try to be on time, or suffer the consequences of hearing your friends brag all about it.
BONUS: Tonight (November 24) from 6 to 9 p.m. Long I Pie will also do a cider and beer pairing at Stem Ciders. $20 will give you a flight of four pies and four ciders.
Black Friday Craft Beer Crawl
When: November 27; 2 – 7 p.m.

The Low Down: Black Friday is the one day a year where there is no such thing as too much! Join Factotum Brewhouse on a bus, as it visits four breweries around Denver. The journey will begin at 2 p.m., first heading to Grandma’s House, next Baere Brewing Company, then Mockery Brewing, and finally returning to Factotum Brewhouse. Each ticket includes transportation and a 10 ounce beer at each of the four breweries. With limited seats on the bus, register now so that you don’t miss your chance to unwind after the long Thanksgiving weekend.
