12039766_967265333311943_3576729552877159171_nThe Boulder Fringe Festival bridges the gap between the artists and the community this week, highlighting local talent in all of its various forms. The event includes a diverse assortment of family events, workshops, local business and cultural activities. By showcasing Boulder-based creatives performing “in their own backyards” this week, the Boulder Fringe Festival provides an opportunity for the community to celebrate and enjoy its own hometown artists in their element.

Art generates art. Creativity creates community.

Sub Rosa is a raw and powerful journey through a young woman’s coming of age as she flirts and fights with lust, loneliness, fear and divinity. Breathtaking acrobatics, dance, and theater will have you on the edge of your seat as you witness the transformation kept beneath the rose.

Originally created as a touring festival show, Sub Rosa has been transformed for the theaters. This new version, with an expanded cast, explores the edge of what is possible in the aerial movement and theater world. Stretching our imaginations, challenging our outlooks, exploring our emotions, Sub Rosa dives into the layers of the human experience, taking the cast and its audience on a journey of new discoveries.

Fractal Tribe is a local Boulder community of artists, engineers, and performers focused primarily on circus production. Combining theatrics with dance, fire, acrobatics, aerial arts, and music, they consistently create a full visual, auditory and kinesthetic experience that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. Fractal Tribe also leads workshops, develops community and sustainability projects, and explores and innovates cutting edge performance technologies. Their mission is to inspire individuals to realize their own intrinsic value and actualize their true potential within their individual communities.
