Molly Brown House Museum: “Diamonds in the Daytime: The Changing Fashions of Margaret Brown’s World.”

The Colorado Art Institute students took inspiration from the fashion surrounding Molly Brown’s world and translated it into their own designs based on historical pieces. These designs were then used to create fashion plate drawings, of which the winning drawing will be sold in the museum gift shop. The winning designs will also be featured as part of the museum’s current exhibit “Diamonds in the Daytime: The Changing Fashions of Margaret Brown’s World,” which according to the museum‘s website “explores the shifting fashion modes as a reflection of social change as America moved through the Gilded Age and into the Great Depression.”
