With New York Fashion Week coming to an end, the fashion world always seems to feel a little flat. But not to worry, Denver still has some great events coming up this week that will make sure to give you that fashion fix you’re looking for. Goodwill En Vogue

Goodwill is hosting a fabulous night with “Project Runway” mentor Tim Gunn and Denver’s own, Mondo Guerra. This event will feature both fashion and philanthropy as all ticket proceeds benefit Goodwill’s Career Development Programs that help at-risk children and young adults find their own path to success. The event will also feature two fashion shows with pieces designed by students from the Goodwill programs that will be modeled by local Denver celebrities. Pre-party with Tim Gunn and after party with Mondo Guerra also available.

A historical examination of fashion trends throughout the 20th century, this show features photographs as well as clothing displays. This exhibit will take you through the changing of fashion styles based on the influences of culture, sexuality and urban lifestyle. The show features pieces on loan from several historical societies and individuals, truly giving the viewer a taste of the intertwining dance of fashion and culture.

Brilliant: Cartier in the 20th Century

As written up in a previous 303 Magazine article, the Denver Art Museum has been displaying an assortment of jewelry, timepieces and precious objects from world-renowned jeweler, Cartier. This exhibit takes you through Cartier’s journey from its beginnings and into its current fame. Featuring pieces made for both men and women, this exhibit will truly take your breath away. But make sure to get there before it’s gone!

The Eco-Disaster Fashion Show

Warm Cookies and Fashion Denver will be putting on a fashion show featuring seven top designers. This show challenges designers to face the changes that are taking place in the world’s environment and to design accordingly. How will we dress to survive when changes take place in our world? The night features a fashion show as well as the opportunity to mingle with Eco-Fashion designers and other fashion and earth lovers alike.

The Denver Art Museum presents an exhibit featuring art from the Spanish Colonial Period in Latin America demonstrating the story of the New World and the fashion that set the elite above the commoners of the period, including fabulous jewels, watches and small tools such as knives.
