Colorado winter is here and the snow is blowing up quite the party scene. Weather it’s your first winter season in our glorious state, or your 20th , Colorado and its high country counterparts have a slew of events to lighten up your winter workload. Here are the top events for this week in Colorado to help you start celebrating the season.

 

Blossoms Of Light

Denver Botanic Gardens

The Blossoms of Light get better every year, as the Denver Botanic Gardens add more features and stunning lights to their beautiful foliage. Winter blooms at DBG with light tunnels, HoloSpex glasses and high-powered LED displays to illuminate the way to holiday cheer.

If you are further down south, head to the Trail of Lights at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. All is bright at the Trail of Lights with new additions, as DBG continues to create a magnificent experience for families and guests of all ages.

Both locations are open nightly from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and will stay open to January 1. Admission ranges from $5-$12 for members and non-members, prices are at their highest during peak days, from December 14- January 1.

 

13th Annual Denver Santa Pub Crawl

Coloradoans love an excuse to dress up, drink and run around in the cold. All of these qualities collide at the 13th Annual Denver Santa Pub Crawl. Weather you believe in the Big Guy or not, your inner child wants you to be at the Blake Street Tavern this Saturday at 1:30 p.m.. Running is jolly when you do it in a big red suit.

Never Summer Demo & Rail Jam

Hunting for a new board? Arapahoe Basin is hosting Colorado’s own Never Summer Boards on Sunday, December 7. Test out a new ride and find what you are looking for before you purchase. Never Summer has been designing and building boards since 1983. Each board is hand crafted right here in Denver, Colorado. Bring your bindings, a credit card for collateral and your lift ticket. Go see what Colorado engineering can do for your winter season.

Dew Tour

Breckenridge, Colorado
December 11-14 2014

 

Sochi’s finest take to the snow in Breckenridge, Colorado for the Dew Tour. The Dew Tour is a free-style competition that kicks off the winter competitive season. Watch Olympic athletes and hopefuls from the edge of the super pipe, soar above the base of Peak 8 at Breckenridge. Athletes compete in Super Pipe and/or Slopestyle events. The party continues into the night at the Riverwalk center in downtown Breckenridge with headliner Chainsmokers and special guest The Knocks on December 13.
