Where: Pikkas Peruvisn Cuisine and Pisco Bar, 300 Filmore Street Unit K –

Pros: Pikkas has several signature cocktails to choose from that are not your average happy hour cocktail.
Cons: Most of their signature cocktails include pisco, a white brandy made in Peru. So unless you are searching for an out of the ordinary cocktail experience Pikkas may not be for you.
If you’re looking for a new and exciting to drink I suggest the Pepe’s Burro, a blend of cucumber vodka, lime and ginger beer or a Pineapple Mosquito which is a blend of pisco, pineapple, mint and ginger ale. Both drinks are without being overly sweet or bitter.

Where: Vinue Food and Wine Bar 2817 East of 3rd Ave. in Cherry Creek.
Pros: Vinue does not serve only wine but has a summer cocktail list as well. Their happy hour is from 4-7pm and won’t break the bank either.
Cons: Their happy hour menu does not include every drink on the menu so be sure to thoroughly check the menu.
If you’re looking for a more upscale drinking experience than Vinue is your go to spot before the fashion show. Definitely get there early and try and steal a spot on the patio, it’s worth it!

Where: Machete Tequila +Tacos 2817 E 3rd Ave Ste F&G
Pros: A great place to celebrate a belated Taco Tuesday, Machete is serving up killer margaritas.
Cons: If you don’t make it for happy hour, Machete can cost more than it’s worth.
The happy hour Machete margarita lives up to its name and the price can’t be beat. Tacos during happy hour are only $2.50 so if you need something to munch on Machete Tequila + Tacos should be your go to for food and booze before the show.

Where: Second Home Kitchen & Bar 150 Clayton Ln.
Pros: With an extensive cocktail list, Second Home Kitchen & Bar is not messing around.
Cons: The food is hit or miss at this joint so it may be more suitable for just a drink.
The Grapefruit a-go-go is neither overly bitter or overly sweet making it the perfect summer cocktail!

Where: Bull and Bush 4700 Cherry Creek Dr S
Pros: A no frills pub with a great beer selection.
Cons: This is not the place to sip on a glass of chardonnay, if you want something more upscale I wouldn’t suggest stopping here.
While this isn’t the fanciest place to stop for a drink Bull and Bush has a fun atmosphere and a great staff. If you’re bringing a date and he wants a beer, Bull and Bush is a great place to stop.

Bonus: Old Major  3316 Tejon Street, Denver, CO 80211
When: Everyday, 3:00-6:00 pm
If you are coming from the highlands don’t miss Old Major’s happy hour. It is one of our favorites in town and is always a must do. Read our full review here.

Wherever you stop for pre Pool Party cocktail, be sure to give one of these five spots a try. We can’t wait to see you there!
