Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom has recently announced the creation of their new outdoor patio stage, which will host a multitude of shows this coming summer. Cervantes partnered with the Denver Westword to release a feature article accompanied with some incredible pictures revealing the new outdoor stage in all its glory.
The outdoor patio, which is considered an extension of Cervantes Other Side, is a large enclosed space with benches, bars and of course the new stage. All of these new furnishing have been built entirely by Tommy Lyle. Lyle works for Wood Of A Kind, which is an incredible woodworking company that builds an amazing assortment of things from furniture to small trinkets. You can visit their website at www.woodofakind.net.
Not only has Wood Of A Kind designed and built an expansive and friendly environment in which to party and dance this summer, but they have also accomplished all of this without cutting down a single tree. In an effort to remain green and clear away damage, Wood Of A Kind collected and recycled many of the trees that had fallen during the flood this past fall. They used that wood to create everything you’ll see and use at Cervantes new outdoor patio.
While this is a relatively new addition for Cervantes, the venue has already added a few patio sets to their calendar, including Fruition with Bonfire Dub and featuring Bridget Law of Elephant Revival. You can catch this first of many summer patio sets on Friday, May 30th at 9:00 PM. A second patio set that has been announced and is not to be missed is Grass For That Ass featuring Uptown Toodeloo String Band with Von Stomper and Black Mountain Boys. This Grateful Dead cover band performs on this amazing new stage on Thursday, June 5th at 9:00 PM.
Tickets for both of these events can be purchased now at www.cervantesmasterpiece.com and we hope to see all of you enjoying good music and the summer heat at Cervantes new outdoor patio.
