Denver Fashion Week kicks off this weekend, November 9th and 10th, with amazing local designers, good food, and even hot tunes from celebrity DJ Lindsay Luv. This don’t-miss event will be tons of fun, but if you’re looking to extend the good times look no further than a pre-fashion show happy hour. I’ve rounded up three spots near City Hall, where the DFW fun goes down, so that you can meet up with friends and start the evening off right.

1. Charcoal Restaurant: 43 West Ninth Avenue, Denver, CO 80204

Happy hour drinks are available everyday from 4:00-6:00 pm at this Golden Triangle hot spot. Try the wines by the glass ($4) or opt for a nice selection of $4 wells. Think you need a snack before drooling over those gorgeous clothes? Although food isn’t on happy hour during the weekends, the bacon wrapped dates are worth the splurge.

2. Vesper Lounge: 233 E 7th Ave, Denver, CO 80203

In the old Lancer Lounge building, Vesper Lounge has a great bar feel and can handle a big crowd. Happy hour is available everyday from 4:00-6:00 pm and the drinks at Vesper will put you under the table if you drink a few too many. Pace yourself, because you don’t want to miss DJ Lindsay Luv’s set! Try the Whiskey Hound ($5) which is a pint of Upslope’s Craft Lager and a shot of Wild Turkey Rye. The food is all delicious, but the Vesper fries ($2), and Falafel slider ($2.50) won’t disappoint.

3. Panzano: 909 17th Street, Denver, Colorado 80202

Panzano may be a bit farther afield from City Hall but it’s worth the trek. If you’re looking for a more low-key happy hour option before DFW, Panzano is your pick. Happy hour runs from 2:30-6:00 pm everyday. Check out the barrel aged cocktails ($6) or the classically fruity Pama Passion cocktail ($5). Panzano has a huge array of happy hour food options, making it a great spot for an early dinner. You’ll make it to the after party if you munch on Panzano’s Brussels sprouts ($5), mushroom stuffed crepe ($5), and the gnocchi with rabbit confit ($7).
