Preview: Burgerama Caravan feat. The Growlers, Cosmonauts, Gap Dream & Pangea

Burger Records is coming to town, with a slew of folks that’ll surely bring in some sunshine. If you’ve ever imagined yourself on a happy hobo honeymoon, with mellow ’60’s California style tunes playing (and tons of reverb). If you have a gypsy heart that dreams of dancing the Pony, in the desert. If the whimsical words: “when troubles turn into champagne / when bologna turns into steak,” make sense to you. If you’ve got a cosmic soul, you’ll dig The Growlers. Plus, Brooks Nielsen (lead vocals), is said to be a phenomenal live act. The Cosmonauts have a very similar kind of surf-rock vibe, albeit more Replacements-rock. And then you have Cleveland lo-fi glam synth-pop rockers, Gap Dream. These dude have that soft rock smoothness that Daft Punk would surely appreciate. Lastly, Pangea. Your answer for a Cali-cool, Ramones-esque rendezvous. Very garage rock. Much more party-centric.

These tunes would make for the essential fuzzed-out soundtrack for Burning Man, if there were such a thing. Burgerama Caravan is a vacation in a room. Get your beach drink ready, the winter is coming soon. Burgerama Caravan of Stars Tour comes to the Bluebird tomorrow, September 25th, at 8 PM. Tickets here.
