The Friday Experience: Loveland Sculpture in the Park 30th Anniversary

This time of year brings the excitement of Loveland’s Sculpture in the Park Exhibition. This year the show is being held August 10th and 11th, 2013. Saturday’s hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday’s hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Sculpture in the Park show is being held in Benson Sculpture Garden, 2908 Aspen Drive, Loveland, Colorado 80538.

It’s a great time to be tourist in your own state. “Each year the participating artists are selected by a jury comprised of experienced sculptors representing different styles and mediums. Traditionally, about one fourth of the selected artists are new to Sculpture in the Park. The inclusion of new artists, coupled with a show policy that requires returning artists to display newly produced work, ensures that Sculpture in the Park has a refreshingly new and diversified look each year. The following artists will be participating in the 2013 show.”

“Copper Queen 6/7” – Carolyn L. Barlock

Some of my local favorites will be there: Carolyn L. Barlock marking her 17th year at Sculpture in the Park, Kendra Fleischman and Harold Linke just to name a few, as well as other favorites Jim Eppler from Lubbock, Texas and so many more.

Sculpture in the Park is a delightful way to get educated about the art of sculpture. Tickets to the show are $7.00 and children 14 and under are admitted for free. Tickets can be purchased directly at the entrances to the show.

If you are interested in the Friday Night Patron’s Party tickets are $75.00 and there are a limited amount, phone (970) 663-2940 for more information and to purchase tickets.

Sculpture in the Park offers shuttle bus service on weekends only due to limited parking and encourages their guests to use the free shuttle service which they have at multiple locations throughout Loveland.
