The new season of Top Chef is coming soon and we’re excited to be seeing some Colorado faces in the lineup! Tyler Wiard and Jorel Pierce are both native Denverites who will be competing on the show. Wiard, 41, is the Executive Chef and Culinary Director of the upscale steakhouse, Elway’s, and learned to cook through restaurant experience without any formal culinary training. Pierce, 28, is a chef at Euclid Hall, locally famous for its handcrafted sausages, and studied in Denver at Johnson and Wales University. Eliza Gavin, 38, who studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, will be another Colorado based contestant on the show. Although she is a transplant originally from Richmond, VA she is now the chef and owner of 221 South Oak Bistro in Telluride. The tenth season of the show will be held in Seattle and starts up on November 7. We can’t wait to see these Coloradans get fired up in the kitchen!
